HEF’S BIG WOOD ~ OAST HOUSE

Wooden vat fermented, Barrel-aged hefeweize.  Listening to customers around the bar order Hef’s Big Wood, always brought a smile.  The beer is a collaboration with Paul Pender from Tawse Winery.   The beer is aged in barrels giving it a boozy and oaky flavour.  The draft is a foggy orange and tastes of wine, and fruity, with a lingering oaky taste.  I wish they would make this again!
