SAWDUST CITY ~ LONE PINE

Lone Pine is a West Coast IPA. Sampled on draught. The beer poured a hazy golden straw colour with a good off white head and good retention. The nose had lots of pine and citrus from the aggressively hopped beer. Other citrus fruit and malts were in the distant background. The brew was packed with hoppy flavours. Plenty of hops lend a strong grapefruit and piney resin taste with a little sweetness from shy malts. The finish is crisp and dry with a lingering resiny bitter aftertaste. The carbonation was lively. A hoppy, but not overdone IPA. Quite enjoyable!
