PISSED OF PETE’S PUMPKIN PORTER ~ NICKELBROOK

Sampled from a bottle.  Pissed of Pete’s a seasonal porter available only at the Brewery.   This beer pours really dark brown with a medium sized beige head.  The nose is dark roasted malts and spice, with a hint of pumpkin.    I smell nutmeg and cinnamon but the pumpkin is subtle (even though it is brewed with pumpkin).  The flavour is similar with a subtle sweetness, dark coffee and chocolate and a clean finish.  The beer was lighter bodied than anticipated but still a lovely seasonal offering.

The beer is named after the brewery’s co-founder Pete Romano who is known to both love pumpkin beer and may get ‘excited’ occasionally.
