JUBILEE AMBER LAGER formerly KING VIENNA LAGER ~ THORNBURY BEVERAGE CO.

Sampled on Draught. It is brewed in the style of a Vienna Lager, using classic European brewing methods and including Vienna hops and European Malts. This beer poured a clear deep amber colour with orange hues. It was well carbonated with a creamy off white head, which left lacing. The nose contained sweet malts, caramel, biscuity grain, earthy hops and perhaps a touch of fruit. The taste begins with sweet bready malts, with caramel overtones. Mid taste has an earthiness about it and the beer ends with a gentle drying floral hop. The beer is simple but well crafted and easily sessionable.

PICK UP TRUCK PILSNER

(formerly King Pilsner)

~ THORNBURY BEVERAGE COMPANY~

Pickup truck Pilsner is the re branded King Pilsner.  It is billed as ‘an authentic Czech-style Pils Lager brewed with only 100% imported Bohemian malts, Saaz hops and a true strain of Czech yeast.’
The beer pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white foam.  The nose contains bready sweetness, grass, hops and a little malt.  The beer is clean and crisp.  Malts begin with a sweet graininess, and the Saaz hops finish with a pleasant bitterness.   A good simple Czech-style pilsner - easy drinking, great Bar-b-q beverage on a hot summer day.

 ~BLUE MOUNTAIN LAGER ~
KING/THORNBURY
King’s Brewery is now being rebranded under Thornbury, who up to now has been exclusively a cidery.    Blue Mountain brewed in the style of “Munich Helles,” a very popular Bavarian style.  Compared to a Pilsner, Helles has a milder hop and richer malt.
This beer pours pale yellow with a lingering white head.  Aroma is of grains, floral, and a mild citrus notes.  Very easy drinking, with a slightly bitter dry finish.  Great on a hot day.
