NEW ZEALAND RED ALE ~ KILANNAN

The brewery was founded in 2012, by 25 year old brewmaster Spencer Wareham. Spencer studied his art in both Chicago and in Germany. This ale won a 2014 "Ontario Brewing Awards Gold ."
Made with New Zealand hops in a late boil, this brew pours a rich amber/red. Flavour is grainy, with caramel malt sweetness. Finish is bitter and long. Drinkable, but a little ordinary.

KILANNAN BREWING COMPANY

Originally brewed in Germany, Kölsch is defined by an agreement of the members of the Cologne Brewing Association. (Kölsch Convention).  Kölsch is a lagered ale.  It is warm fermented and then lagered in cold temperatures.  Kilannan’s beer is brewed with German malts. It is a bright straw colour. Refreshing Summer beer.
